Alton Towers
Alton Towers including CBeebies Land is only 8 miles away or a short 10 minute drive by car. A great fun-filled day for all the family (including the ‘big kids’). Many of our guests choose to visit Alton Towers on their way to us, arriving then in the early evening, the hot meal we provide goes down well at the end of an exciting day on all those rides! Don’t worry, if you are not here for the theme park you wouldn’t know it was that close -we are not impacted by the traffic to Alton Towers.
Monkey Forest
Monkey Forest, Trentham is just half an hour away by car. Set in 60 acres of beautiful Staffordshire woodland and meadows, where 140 monkeys live in total freedom. You are plunged into the Barbary macaques fascinating world as you hear rustling in the trees, chattering in a strange language & see the monkeys crashing through branches or walking across the footpath in front of you!
Peak Wildlife Park
Peak Wildlife Park is 3 miles away. It is a wildlife sanctuary where children can get up close to lots of animals. There’s an indoor play area too.
The Children’s Country House at Sudbury
The Children’s Country House at Sudbury is another popular day out. Children can explore the collection, stories and history of this special place.
Churnet Valley Railway
Churnet Valley Railway near Leek has been lovingly restored for visitors to enjoy today as in days gone by. Among other experiences, you can enjoy a nostalgic steam train ride through Staffordshire’s hidden valley and onto the Staffordshire Moorlands.
Foxfield Railway
Foxfield Steam Railway is one of Britain’s oldest heritage steam railways where you can create magical memories and enjoy exciting new experience. There’s a Dragon Quest Adventure, Foxfield Wizard Adventure and more.
